Journalist | radioeins
Born in border town Flensburg (1968) Steen Lorenzen was raised with both danish and german culture. Since then he’s been stepping across borders as much as possible. Entering Berlin one year after the wall came down, he formed a band and started exploring the many scenes of a new born Berlin nightlife. 20 years ago he began working for radioeins (Rundfunk Berlin Brandenburg) as a freelance contributer, editor, reporter and host of several shows – creating programs like a pop anthology („Diskothek“) or a weekly tape-recorder-show (anticipating the idea of podcast radio). He is currently hosting a weekly pop format on radioeins and working on a radioday about human/machine interaction.
Steen Lorenzen is regularly moderating fortnightly, Monday to Thursday from 1 – 4 pm “radioeins mit Steen Lorenzen”, his show mainly focuses on pop culture, music and new media.
